The Mount St. Joseph Gaels (Baltimore, MD) basketball nipped the host Glenelg Country Dragons (Glenelg, MD), 69-64 in Thursday's league test.

The Gaels (16-1) will now prepare for their test against Goretti (Hagerstown, MD). The go into the non-league test with a 5-8 record. In their last test, Goretti got by John Carroll (Bel Air, MD), 66-63, in a non-league test.

The Dragons now own a 9-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to McDonogh for a MIAA A test on Friday, January 13. Glenelg Country will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 61-53 non-league win over Goretti (Hagerstown, MD). The Eagles record now stands at 9-5.
