The Bourbon County Colonels basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting North Laurel Jaguars to 48 in the Colonels non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Colonels now sport a 11-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Walton-Verona for a non-league contest on Monday, January 16. Bourbon County will battle a Bearcats team coming off a 41-34 non-league win over Carroll County (Carrollton, KY). The Bearcats record now stands at 8-8.

The Jaguars (13-6) will now prepare for their contest against Clay County (Manchester, KY). The Tigers enter the District 49 contest with a 10-11 record. In their last contest, Clay County was nudged by Madison Central (Richmond, KY), 46-37, in a non-league contest.
