The East River Falcons basketball team scored 40 points and held the host Lake Brantley Patriots to 30 in the Falcons non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Falcons now sport a 9-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to University for a non-league contest on Friday, January 17. East River will battle a Cougars team coming off a 67-42 non-league loss to University (Orange City, FL). The Cougars record now stands at 0-17.

The Patriots (4-14) will now prepare for their contest against Apopka (Apopka, FL). The Blue Darters enter the 7A District 3 contest with a 17-2 record. In their last contest, Apopka ran past Olympia (Orlando, FL), 72-62, in a league contest.
