The Wakeland Wolverines basketball team scored 80 points and restricted the host Reedy Lions to 72 in the Wolverines league victory on Tuesday.

The Wolverines now sport a 21-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Newman Smith for a 5A Region II District 9 contest on Friday, January 20. Wakeland will battle a Trojans team coming off a 57-53 league win over Frisco (Frisco, TX). The Trojans record now stands at 16-5.

The Lions (14-10) will now prepare for their contest against The Colony (The Colony, TX). The Cougars come into the 5A Region II District 9 contest with a 15-10 record. In their last contest, The Colony prevailed over Turner (Carrollton, TX), 59-41, in a league contest.
