Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Proviso East Pirates (Maywood, IL) and the visiting Fenwick Friars (Oak Park, IL), saw Proviso East's basketball squad hold off Fenwick by a count of 54-47.

With the victory, Proviso East upgrades its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Pirates host St. Joseph (Westchester, IL) to play the Chargers in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 27. The Chargers come into the challenge with a record of 1-0.
