Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Kenton Pioneers (Independence, KY) and the visiting Highlands Bluebirds (Fort Thomas, KY), saw Kenton's basketball squad hold off Highlands by a score of 46-43.

With the victory, Kenton improves its record to 13-6 on the campaign. The Pioneers travel to Boone County (Florence, KY) to battle the Rebels in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 27. The Rebels come into the challenge with a record of 14-3. Boone County won 66-46 in their recent non-league challenge against Ludlow (Ludlow, KY)

Next up, the Bluebirds battle the Newport Wildcats (Newport, KY) in a District 36 challenge, on Friday, January 30. Highlands will attempt to improve on its 18-2 season record.
