Illinois High School Basketball - Proviso East trounces University
January 26, 2013: Maywood, IL 60153 The Proviso East Pirates (Maywood, IL) basketball crushed the visiting University Pioneers (Normal, IL), 74-47 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Pirates (17-3) will now prepare for their test against Addison Trail (Addison, IL). The Blazers go into the West Suburban - Gold test with a 8-14 record.
The Pioneers now own a 14-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Olympia for a Corn Belt test on Friday, February 1. University will clash with a Spartans squad coming off a 55-34 league loss to Pontiac (Pontiac, IL). The Spartans record now stands at 1-19.
