Kentucky High School Basketball - Somerset ripped by Madison Southern
January 26, 2022: Berea, KY 40403 The Madison Southern Eagles basketball team scored 76 points and held the visiting Somerset Briar Jumpers to 45 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Eagles now sport a 13-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Berea for a District 44 contest on Friday, January 28. Madison Southern will meet a Pirates team coming off a 86-54 non-league loss to Rockcastle County (Mt. Vernon, KY). The Pirates record now stands at 2-12.
The Briar Jumpers (6-8) will now prepare for their contest against Pulaski County (Somerset, KY). The Maroons enter the District 47 contest with a 20-0 record. In their last contest, Pulaski County triumphed over Clinton County (Albany, KY), 68-50, in a non-league contest.
