West Virginia High School Basketball - Parkersburg ripped by Marietta

January 30, 2012: Parkersburg, WV 26101

The Marietta Tigers basketball team scored 82 points and held the host Parkersburg Big Reds to 57 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Monday.

The Tigers now sport a 13-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Warren for a non-league contest on Wednesday, February 1. Marietta will play a Warriors squad coming off a 61-55 non-league win over Maysville (Zanesville, OH). The Warriors record now stands at 11-4.

Next up, the Big Reds play the Huntington Highlanders (Huntington, WV) in a Mountain State bout, on Wednesday, February 1. Parkersburg will attempt to upgrade on its 6-11 season record. The Highlanders come into the bout with a 12-5 record after their 64-52 league win over Nitro (Nitro, WV).
