January 30, 2016: Somerset, NJ 08873 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Somerville Pioneers (Somerville, NJ) and the host Rutgers Prep Argonauts (Somerset, NJ), saw Somerville's basketball squad overcome Rutgers Prep by a tally of 61-46.
With the victory, Somerville improves its record to 14-0 on the campaign. The Pioneers host Bernards (Bernardsville, NJ) to confront the Mountaineers in a Skyland - Valley challenge on Tuesday, February 2. The Mountaineers come into the challenge with a record of 4-7. Bernards lost 56-42 in their recent non-league challenge against Dayton (Springfield, NJ)
Next up, the Argonauts confront the Bridgewater-Raritan Panthers (Bridgewater, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 2. Rutgers Prep will attempt to improve on its 8-9 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 7-9 record after their 59-35 non-league loss to Ridge (Basking Ridge, NJ).
