In Thursday's league outing, the Desert Mountain Wolves (Scottsdale, AZ) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Cactus Shadows Falcons (Cave Creek, AZ), by a count of 74-47.

The Wolves (21-4) will now prepare for their outing against Horizon (Scottsdale, AZ). The Huskies go into the 5A Northeast Valley outing with a 14-10 record. In their last outing, Horizon was crushed by Notre Dame Prep (Scottsdale, AZ), 73-57, in a league outing.

The Falcons now hold a 14-10 record. They play next when they host Chaparral for a 5A Northeast Valley outing on Friday, February 3. Cactus Shadows will clash with a Firebirds squad coming off a 105-47 non-league win over Copper Canyon (Glendale, AZ). The Firebirds record now stands at 11-14.
