Alaska High School Basketball - King Cove fells Tri-Valley
February 4, 2009: King Cove, AK 99612 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the King Cove Rookies (King Cove, AK) and the visiting Tri-Valley Warriors (Healy, AK), saw King Cove's basketball squad overcome Tri-Valley by a count of 67-50.
With the victory, King Cove upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Rookies travel to Nenana (Nenana, AK) to play the Lynx in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 5. The Lynx come into the challenge with a record of 0-10. Nenana lost 68-40 in their recent non-league challenge against Noorvik (Noorvik, AK)
Next up, the Warriors play the Fort Yukon Eagles (Fort Yukon, AK) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 5. Tri-Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 65-41 league win over Tanana (Tanana, AK).
