The Daviess County Panthers basketball team scored 78 points and held the host Butler County Bears to 64 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Panthers now sport a 16-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Grayson County for a non-league contest on Monday, February 9. Daviess County will meet a Cougars team coming off a 53-50 league win over Trinity (Whitesville, KY). The Cougars record now stands at 19-3.

The Bears (7-12) will now prepare for their contest against Bowling Green (Bowling Green, KY). The Purples enter the non-league contest with a 18-3 record. In their last contest, Bowling Green was defeated by West Hancock co-op [Hamilton/Warsaw] (Hamilton, IL), 49-23, in a non-league contest.
