Poca Dots (Poca, WV) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Hoover Huskies (Clendenin, WV), 54-44 in a league bout.

With the win, Poca upgrades its record to 6-10 on the season. The Dots host Sissonville (Charleston, WV) to clash with the Indians in a Cardinal bout on Thursday, February 12. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 13-2.

Next up, the Huskies clash with the Mingo Central Miners (Matewan, WV) in a Cardinal bout, on Saturday, February 14. Hoover will attempt to upgrade on its 13-5 season record. The Miners go into the bout with a 7-6 record after their 49-37 league win over Wayne (Wayne, WV).
