West Virginia High School Basketball - Charleston Catholic topped by Wyoming East
February 17, 2022: New Richmond, WV 24867 The Wyoming East Warriors basketball team scored 69 points and restricted the visiting Charleston Catholic Irish to 52 in the Warriors non-league victory on Thursday.
The Warriors now sport a 9-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Chapmanville Regional for a non-league contest on Friday, February 18. Wyoming East will battle a Tigers team coming off a 59-56 league loss to Logan (Logan, WV). The Tigers record now stands at 11-9.
The Irish (5-11) will now prepare for their contest against Wheeling Central Catholic (Wheeling, WV). The Maroon Knights come into the Ohio Valley AA contest with a 17-2 record. In their last contest, Wheeling Central Catholic prevailed over Harrison Central (Cadiz, OH), 69-61, in a non-league contest.
