Kentucky High School Basketball - Montgomery County can't hold off Mason County
February 20, 2021: Mt. Sterling, KY 40353 The Mason County Royals basketball team scored 79 points and restricted the host Montgomery County Indians to 76 in the Royals non-league victory on Saturday.
The Royals now sport a 11-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Harrison County for a non-league match on Tuesday, February 23. Mason County will meet a Thorobreds team coming off a 68-46 league win over Nicholas County (Carlisle, KY). The Thorobreds record now stands at 9-6.
With the defeat, Montgomery County moves to 8-3 on the year. The Indians travel to Paris (Paris, KY) to meet the Greyhounds in a District 40 match on Monday, February 22. The Greyhounds enter the match with a record of 1-9. Paris lost 81-64 in their recent league match against Bourbon County (Paris, KY)
