Kentucky High School Basketball - Spencer County tops Simon Kenton
February 20, 2021: Taylorsville, KY 40071 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Spencer County Bears (Taylorsville, KY) and the visiting Simon Kenton Pioneers (Independence, KY), saw Spencer County's basketball squad knock off Simon Kenton by a tally of 56-36.
With the victory, Spencer County improves its record to 11-2 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Boyle County (Danville, KY) to play the Rebels in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 23. The Rebels come into the challenge with a record of 8-4.
Next up, the Pioneers play the Owen County Rebels (Owenton, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 22. Simon Kenton will attempt to improve on its 2-10 season record. The Rebels come into the challenge with a 9-5 record after their 60-46 non-league loss to Dixie Heights (Edgewood, KY).
