West Virginia High School Basketball - Charleston Catholic overwhelms Braxton County
February 23, 2016: Charleston, WV 25301 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Charleston Catholic Irish (Charleston, WV) and the visiting Braxton County Eagles (Sutton, WV), saw Charleston Catholic's basketball squad wallop Braxton County by a tally of 75-52.
With the victory, Charleston Catholic improves its record to 12-8 on the campaign. The Irish travel to Notre Dame (Clarksburg, WV) to confront the Fighting Irish in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 26. The Fighting Irish come into the challenge with a record of 18-3. Notre Dame won 77-44 in their recent non-league challenge against Tygarts Valley (Mill Creek, WV)
Next up, the Eagles confront the Webster County Highlanders (Upper Glade, WV) in a Little Kanawha - South challenge, on Thursday, February 25. Braxton County will attempt to improve on its 6-11 season record. The Highlanders come into the challenge with a 16-3 record after their 82-61 non-league win over Summers County (Hinton, WV).
