Michigan High School Basketball - Catholic Central holds off Western International
February 24, 2017: Novi, MI 48374 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Catholic Central Shamrocks (Novi, MI) and the visiting Western International Cowboys (Detroit, MI), saw Catholic Central's basketball squad hold off Western International by a tally of 77-70.
With the victory, Catholic Central improves its record to 11-6 on the campaign. The Shamrocks host Fordson (Dearborn, MI) to confront the Tractors in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 28. The Tractors come into the challenge with a record of 7-12. Fordson won 31-28 in their recent league challenge against Crestwood (Dearborn Heights, MI)
Next up, the Cowboys confront the St. Mary Prep Eaglets (Orchard Lake, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 28. Western International will attempt to improve on its 6-11 season record. The Eaglets come into the challenge with a 10-6 record after their 51-49 league loss to University of Detroit Jesuit (Detroit, MI).
