Kentucky High School Basketball - Spencer County topples Oldham County
March 5, 2021: Taylorsville, KY 40071 In Friday's non-league outing, the Spencer County Bears (Taylorsville, KY) basketball squad beat the visiting Oldham County Colonels (Buckner, KY), by a count of 53-44.
The Bears (14-4) will now prepare for their outing against Bourbon County (Paris, KY). The Colonels go into the non-league outing with a 9-12 record. In their last outing, Bourbon County defeated Frederick Douglass (Lexington, KY), 54-50, in a non-league outing.
The Colonels now hold a 7-8 record. They play next when they travel to Bullitt Central for a non-league outing on Monday, March 8. Oldham County will clash with a Cougars squad coming off a 62-46 non-league loss to South Oldham (Crestwood, KY). The Cougars record now stands at 14-8.
