Lafayette Generals (Lexington, KY) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Scott County Cardinals (Georgetown, KY), 61-52 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lafayette upgrades its record to 15-6 on the season. The Generals travel to Madison Southern (Berea, KY) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league bout on Wednesday, March 24. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 18-6. Madison Southern won 49-44 in their recent non-league bout against Great Crossing (Georgetown, KY)

Next up, the Cardinals clash with the Lexington Catholic Knights (Lexington, KY) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, March 31. Scott County will attempt to upgrade on its 10-9 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 11-7 record after their 54-47 league loss to Lafayette (Lexington, KY).
