West Virginia High School Softball - Bishop Walsh bounces Grafton

Bishop Walsh Spartans (Cumberland, MD) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Grafton Bearcats (Grafton, WV), 8-3 in a league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 8-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mountain Ridge for a Western Maryland challenge on Monday, April 17. Bishop Walsh will face a Miners squad coming off a 20-19 non-league win over Clear Spring (Clear Spring, MD). The Miners record now stands at 1-4.

With the loss, Grafton falls to 9-7 on the campaign. The Bearcats host Liberty (Clarksburg, WV) to face the Mountaineers in a Big Ten challenge on Monday, April 17. The Mountaineers enter the challenge with a record of 9-11. Liberty lost 15-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Oak Glen (New Cumberland, WV)
