The Placer Hillmen (Auburn, CA) volleyball nudged the host Bear River Bruins (Grass Valley, CA), 3-2 in Thursday's league outing.

With the win, Placer upgrades its record to 16-7 on the year. The Hillmen travel to St. Francis (Mountain View, CA) to face the Lancers in a non-league outing on Saturday, April 26. The Lancers go into the outing with a record of 17-3. St. Francis lost 3-0 in their recent non-league outing against Mountain View (Mountain View, CA)

The Bruins now hold a 7-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rio Americano for a Capital Athletic League battle on Tuesday, April 29. Bear River will clash with a Raiders team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Antelope (Antelope, CA). The Raiders record now stands at 23-5.
