May 2, 2024: Lindside, WV 24951 The James Monroe Mavericks crushed the visiting Princeton Tigers baseball team by a tally of 15-7 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Mavericks now hold a 16-7 record. They take the field next when they host Richwood for a Coalfield A bout on Friday, May 3. James Monroe will face a Lumberjacks team coming off a 11-1 non-league loss to Tygarts Valley (Mill Creek, WV). The Lumberjacks record now stands at 8-13.
Next, the Tigers face the Nicholas County Grizzlies (Summersville, WV) in a non-league bout, on Friday, May 3. Princeton will attempt to advance on its 9-18 season record. The Grizzlies enter the bout with a 19-4 record after their 11-5 non-league win over Woodrow Wilson (Beckley, WV).
