August 25, 2006: Shelbyville, KY 40065 In Friday's non-league challenge, the visiting Central Yellowjackets football squad scored a nice 56-28 triumph over the Shelby County Rockets.
The Yellowjackets now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Valley for a 3A District 3 challenge on Friday, September 1. Central will clash with a Vikings squad coming off a 72-0 non-league win over Breckinridge County (Harned, KY). The Vikings record now stands at 2-0.
With the defeat, Shelby County moves to 0-1 on the campaign. The Rockets host Whitley County (Williamsburg, KY) to clash with the Colonels in a non-league challenge on Friday, September 1. The Colonels go into the challenge with a record of 0-2. Whitley County lost 40-6 in their recent non-league challenge against North Hardin (Radcliff, KY)
