West Virginia High School Football - Lincoln held off by Braxton County
August 29, 2014: Sutton, WV 26601 Braxton County Eagles (Sutton, WV) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team nip the visiting Lincoln Cougars (Shinnston, WV), 13-6 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Braxton County improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Eagles host Clay County (Clay, WV) to battle the Panthers in a Little Kanawha test on Friday, September 5. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 0-1. Clay County lost 24-14 in their recent league test against Roane County (Spencer, WV)
With the loss, Lincoln drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Cougars host Barbour (Philippi, WV) to battle the Colts in a Big Ten test on Friday, September 5. The Colts come into the test with a record of 0-1. Barbour lost 47-13 in their recent league test against Grafton (Grafton, WV)
