West Virginia High School Football - Ripley held off by Riverside
September 9, 2016: Belle, WV 25015 In Friday's league game, the Riverside Warriors (Belle, WV) football team got by the visiting Ripley Vikings (Ripley, WV), by a score of 7-3.
The Warriors (2-1) will now prepare for their game against South Charleston (South Charleston, WV). The Black Eagles come into the Mountain State game with a 1-2 record. In their last game, South Charleston was tipped by Johnson Central (Paintsville, KY), 30-6, in a non-league game.
The Vikings now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host St. Albans for a Mountain State game on Friday, September 16. Ripley will battle a Red Dragons team coming off a 70-14 league loss to Spring Valley (Huntington, WV). The Red Dragons record now stands at 1-2.
