Fans at Friday's league match between the Parkersburg Big Reds (Parkersburg, WV) and the host Riverside Warriors (Belle, WV), witnessed Parkersburg's football team top Riverside by a tally of 18-7.

The Big Reds (4-0) will now prepare for their match against Huntington (Huntington, WV). The Highlanders enter the Mountain State test with a 2-1 record. In their last test, Huntington overcame Princeton (Princeton, WV), 21-20, in a league test.

Next, the Warriors battle the Spring Valley Timberwolf (Huntington, WV) in a Mountain State test, on Friday, September 22. Riverside will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Timberwolf come into the test with a 1-3 record after their 61-28 league loss to Nitro (Nitro, WV).
