September 29, 2006: Ripley, WV 25271 The Riverside Warriors held off the host Ripley Vikings football squad by a final score of 21-18 in Friday's league outing.
The Warriors now sport a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Capital for a Mountain State outing on Friday, October 6. Riverside will confront a Cougers squad coming off a 21-9 league win over Spring Valley (Huntington, WV). The Cougers record now stands at 4-1.
With the defeat, Ripley moves to 1-5 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Huntington (Huntington, WV) to confront the Highlanders in a Mountain State outing on Friday, October 6. The Highlanders go into the outing with a record of 2-3. Huntington lost 28-21 in their recent league outing against Washington (Charleston, WV)
