January 24, 2024: Mayfield, KY 42066 The Walton-Verona Bearcats (Walton, KY) basketball felled the host Mayfield Cardinals (Mayfield, KY), 45-30 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Bearcats (11-9) will now prepare for their test against Notre Dame Academy (Park Hills, KY). The Pandas go into the non-league test with a 14-4 record. In their last test, Notre Dame Academy was beaten by Holy Cross (Covington, KY), 39-30, in a league test.
The Cardinals now own a 11-4 record. They play next when they host Ballard Memorial for a District 3 test on Friday, January 26.
