West Virginia High School Football - Riverside drops to Parkersburg
October 22, 2021: Belle, WV 25015 In Friday's league game, the Parkersburg Big Reds (Parkersburg, WV) football team knocked off the host Riverside Warriors (Belle, WV), by a score of 31-7.
The Big Reds (3-5) will now prepare for their game against George Washington (Charleston, WV). The Patriots come into the Mountain State game with a 5-3 record. In their last game, George Washington toppled Woodrow Wilson (Beckley, WV), 48-35, in a league game.
The Warriors now sport a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they host Lincoln County for a non-league game on Friday, October 29. Riverside will battle a Panthers team coming off a 52-16 non-league win over Clay County (Clay, WV). The Panthers record now stands at 4-4.
