Carver Challengers (Chicago, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting Wallace Hornets (Gary, IN), 73-72 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Carver upgrades its record to 4-1 on the season. The Challengers travel to Brooks College Prep (Chicago, IL) to play the Eagles in a Chicago Public Red - South bout on Tuesday, January 4. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 1-0.

Next up, the Hornets play the Andrean Fighting 59ers (Merrillville, IN) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 8. Wallace will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record.
