Kentucky High School Basketball - Mercy overwhelms Lexington Catholic
December 8, 2009: Louisville, KY 40204 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Mercy Jaguars (Louisville, KY) and the visiting Lexington Catholic Knights (Lexington, KY), saw Mercy's basketball squad trounce Lexington Catholic by a score of 74-45.
With the victory, Mercy improves its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Jaguars travel to Ballard (Louisville, KY) to play the Bruins in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 11. The Bruins come into the challenge with a record of 3-2. Ballard won 78-68 in their recent non-league challenge against DuPont Manual (Louisville, KY)
Next up, the Knights play the Lexington Christian Eagles (Lexington, KY) in a District 43 challenge, on Thursday, December 10. Lexington Catholic will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 65-42 non-league win over Central Hardin (Cecilia, KY).
