Musselman Applemen (Inwood, WV) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Parkersburg Big Reds (Parkersburg, WV), 56-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Musselman upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Applemen host Brooke Point (Stafford, VA) to clash with the Black Hawks in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 9. The Black Hawks go into the bout with a record of 6-0. Brooke Point won 60-40 in their recent non-league bout against Spring Mills (Martinsburg, WV)

Next up, the Big Reds clash with the Morgantown Mohigans (Morgantown, WV) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 13. Parkersburg will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Mohigans go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 76-32 non-league win over Elkins (Elkins, WV).
