Michigan High School Basketball - Western International topped by River Rouge
December 9, 2017: Detroit, MI 48209 The River Rouge Panthers basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the host Western International Cowboys to 33 in the Panthers non-league victory on Saturday.
The Panthers now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Southfield Arts & Tech for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 12. River Rouge will battle a Warriors team coming off a 75-48 non-league loss to Southfield Christian (Southfield, MI). The Warriors record now stands at 0-1.
The Cowboys (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Cass Tech (Detroit, MI). The Technicians come into the Detroit Public I contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Cass Tech prevailed over Beecher (Flint, MI), 84-53, in a non-league contest.
