Texas High School Basketball - Mesquite holds off Plano East
December 10, 2011: Mesquite, TX 75149 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Mesquite Skeeters (Mesquite, TX) and the visiting Plano East Panthers (Plano, TX), saw Mesquite's basketball squad hold off Plano East by a score of 52-47.
With the victory, Mesquite improves its record to 4-4 on the campaign. The Skeeters host Episcopal School of Dallas (Dallas, TX) to play the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 20. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 7-4.
Next up, the Panthers play the Allen Eagles (Allen, TX) in a 5A Region I District 8 challenge, on Tuesday, December 20. Plano East will attempt to improve on its 4-4 season record.
