Southwestern Warriors (Somerset, KY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting Somerset Briar Jumpers (Somerset, KY), 58-51 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Southwestern upgrades its record to 4-0 on the season. The Warriors travel to Butler County (Morgantown, KY) to encounter the Bears in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 20. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 1-3. Butler County lost 56-36 in their recent non-league bout against Allen County (Scottsville, KY)

Next up, the Briar Jumpers encounter the Glasgow Scotties (Glasgow, KY) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 13. Somerset will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Scotties go into the bout with a 0-5 record after their 85-53 non-league loss to Bowling Green (Bowling Green, KY).
