The Mount St. Joseph Gaels basketball team scored 74 points and held the visiting McDonogh Eagles to 63 in the Gaels league triumph on Wednesday.

The Gaels now sport a 10-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Calvert Hall for a MIAA A contest on Friday, December 21. Mount St. Joseph will confront a Cardinals team coming off a 57-44 non-league win over Our Lady of Mount Carmel (Baltimore, MD). The Cardinals record now stands at 6-4.

The Eagles (2-6) will now prepare for their contest against Gilman (Baltimore, MD). The Greyhounds enter the non-league contest with a 2-10 record.
