Alabama High School Basketball - Hoover crushes Spanish Fort
December 26, 2015: Hoover, AL 35244 Hoover Buccaneers (Hoover, AL) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Spanish Fort Toros (Spanish Fort, AL), 72-44 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Hoover upgrades its record to 4-9 on the campaign. The Buccaneers travel to Thompson (Alabaster, AL) to play the Warriors in a 7A Area 5 bout on Tuesday, January 5. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 7-6. Thompson lost 72-50 in their recent non-league bout against Newton (Covington, GA)
Next up, the Toros play the Saraland Spartans (Saraland, AL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 4. Spanish Fort will attempt to upgrade on its 8-6 season record. The Spartans come into the bout with a 5-8 record after their 45-38 non-league loss to St. Luke's Episcopal (Mobile, AL).
