Kentucky High School Basketball - Letcher County Central can't hold off Franklin-Simpson
December 28, 2014: Whitesburg, KY 41858 The Franklin-Simpson Wildcats basketball team scored 44 points and held the host Letcher County Central Cougars / Lady Cougars to 39 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Sunday.
The Wildcats now sport a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Larue County for a non-league contest on Monday, December 29. Franklin-Simpson will battle a Hawks team coming off a 72-46 non-league win over Butler County (Morgantown, KY). The Hawks record now stands at 6-3.
The Cougars / Lady Cougars (5-4) will now prepare for their contest against Butler County (Morgantown, KY). The Bears enter the non-league contest with a 1-6 record. In their last contest, Butler County was nudged by Larue County (Hodgenville, KY), 72-46, in a non-league contest.
