Kentucky High School Basketball - Garrard County edges Belfry
December 29, 2014: Belfry, KY 41514 The Garrard County Golden Lions (Lancaster, KY) basketball nipped the host Belfry Pirates (Belfry, KY), 28-26 in Monday's non-league test.
The Golden Lions (5-7) will now prepare for their test against Wayne County (Monticello, KY). The Cardinals go into the non-league test with a 6-6 record.
The Pirates now own a 4-7 record. They play next when they travel to Pike County Central for a District 60 test on Friday, January 2. Belfry will encounter a Hawks squad coming off a 69-60 non-league loss to Betsy Layne (Betsy Layne, KY). The Hawks record now stands at 5-6.
