December 29, 2023: Lucas, TX 75002 In Friday's non-league outing, the Lovejoy Leopards (Lucas, TX) basketball squad edged the visiting Berkner Rams (Richardson, TX), by a margin of 54-51.
The Leopards (6-10) will now prepare for their outing against Denison (Denison, TX). The Yellow Jackets go into the 5A Region II District 13 outing with a 6-10 record. In their last outing, Denison held off Lebanon Trail (Frisco, TX), 61-52, in a non-league outing.
The Rams now own a 5-17 record. They play next when they host Dallas Jesuit for a 6A Region I District 7 outing on Tuesday, January 2. Berkner will clash with a Rangers squad coming off a 71-59 non-league loss to St. Ignatius (Cleveland, OH). The Rangers record now stands at 15-4.
