Alabama High School Basketball - St. Pius X Catholic tops Sparkman
December 29, 2023: Harvest, AL 35749 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the St. Pius X Catholic Golden Lions (Atlanta, GA) and the host Sparkman Senators (Harvest, AL), saw St. Pius X Catholic's basketball squad knock off Sparkman by a count of 65-54.
With the victory, St. Pius X Catholic upgrades its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Golden Lions travel to Lakeside (Atlanta, GA) to play the Vikings in a AAAAAA Region 4 challenge on Friday, January 5. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 6-8. Lakeside lost 67-58 in their recent non-league challenge against Sumter Academy (York, AL)
Next up, the Senators play the Oakwood Academy Mustangs (Huntsville, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 8. Sparkman will attempt to upgrade on its 5-14 season record.
