Williamstown Yellowjackets (Williamstown, WV) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Belpre Golden Eagles (Belpre, OH), 73-61 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Williamstown upgrades its record to 18-2 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host Webster County (Upper Glade, WV) to play the Highlanders in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 17. The Highlanders come into the bout with a record of 17-3.

Next up, the Golden Eagles play the Waterford Wildcats (Waterford, OH) in a Tri-Valley II bout, on Friday, February 16. Belpre will attempt to upgrade on its 11-8 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 11-9 record after their 58-44 non-league loss to Fort Frye (Beverly, OH).
