In Friday's non-league outing, the Portage Indians (Portage, IN) basketball squad beat the visiting Hammond Morton Governors (Hammond, IN), by a margin of 80-63.

The Indians (15-8) will now prepare for their outing against Chesterton (Chesterton, IN). The Trojans go into the non-league outing with a 15-9 record. In their last outing, Chesterton defeated Culver Academies (Culver, IN), 47-31, in a non-league outing.

The Governors now own a 7-16 record. They play next when they travel to Munster for a non-league outing on Tuesday, February 27. Hammond Morton will clash with a Mustangs squad coming off a 88-54 non-league win over Whiting (Whiting, IN). The Mustangs record now stands at 16-8.
