It was a good run, but The North Hardin Trojans unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 37-14 walloping at the hands of Owensboro Catholic. North Hardin was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-7.
Brady Atwell was his usual excellent self, rushing for 151 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 224 yards and two touchdowns. Atwell was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 55 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of William "Tutt" Carrico, who gained 106 total yards and a touchdown.
North Hardin's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Owensboro Catholic, their win was their sixth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 10-0.
North Hardin will challenge Daviess County at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Owensboro Catholic, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Caldwell County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Caldwell County comes in on a streak of failing to score more than seven points in their last eight games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
