In what's become a running theme this season, the Westover Christian Academy Bulldogs gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Christian Heritage Academy with a sharp 64-43 win. With that victory, Westover Christian Academy brought their scoring average up to 50.4 points per game.
Leading Westover Christian Academy to victory were Malachai Waller and Caleb Hill. Waller dropped a double-double on 11 points and 20 rebounds, while Hill scored 24 points along with six rebounds and five steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Hill has scored at least a third of Westover Christian Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Silas Zeidler, who scored 11 points.
Despite the loss, Christian Heritage Academy saw an underclassman step up: Luke Mason scored 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Young, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds.
Christian Heritage Academy struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Westover Christian Academy racked up 14 assists.
The victory makes it two in a row for Westover Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 7-9. As for Christian Heritage Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-13.
Westover Christian Academy will be playing at home against Temple Christian at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Temple Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five games. As for Christian Heritage Academy, they and Faith Christian will face off at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Faith Christian is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 51.8 points per game this season.
