The Lovejoy Leopards will head out on the road to face off against the Texas Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lovejoy is coming into the match hot, having won their last nine games.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lovejoy had no problem doing just that on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Lions 41-7 on the road. The result was nothing new for Lovejoy, who have now won nine matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.
Meanwhile, Texas sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 17-14 victory over Mansfield Summit on Friday. Given Texas' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 31st, while Mansfield Summit is ranked 108th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lovejoy's win bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Texas, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-1.
