The Laguna Creek Cardinals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 61-18 loss at the hands of Kennedy. Laguna Creek has struggled against Kennedy recently, as their match on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Kacie Shinmoto was her usual excellent self, scoring 16 points along with seven rebounds and six assists for Kennedy. Shinmoto hasn't dropped below 16 points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylee Wong, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Laguna Creek's loss dropped their record down to 4-20. As for Kennedy, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 16-9.
Laguna Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kennedy, they will head out on the road to face off against Franklin at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Kennedy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
