The Kentucky School for the Deaf Colonels's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 42-5 defeat at the hands of Mississippi School for the Deaf. Kentucky School for the Deaf was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-1.
Mississippi School for the Deaf found their leader in underclassman DeSiare Ingram, who scored 24 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ingram has scored all season. Aimaya Brand was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Kentucky School for the Deaf's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Mississippi School for the Deaf, their victory bumped their record up to 6-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kentucky School for the Deaf will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Frederick Fraize at 5:00 p.m. on February 6th. Mississippi School for the Deaf won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Louisiana School for the Deaf at 5:15 p.m. on January 26th. Louisiana School for the Deaf's defense has only allowed 29.5 points per game this season, so Mississippi School for the Deaf's offense will have their work cut out for them.
